Stephanie has been teaching voice and giving piano lessons to children in South Orange County for over ten years. She began studying music herself when she was six years old under the tutelage of several music teachers who specialized in teaching beginners. Growing up near Rancho Santa Margarita and Laguna Niguel, she participated in Bach Festivals and Honors Recitals given by the Music Teacher's Association of California, and was also involved in the demanding Certificate of Merit program for several years.

As a vocalist, Stephanie loves to sing and has performed in Brazil, England, France, China, and the Philippines, and also directed a women's vocal ensemble that toured in Thailand and Vietnam. While Stephanie's formal vocal training is mostly classical, the truth is, she teaches basic essential vocal techiniques that are important building blocks for learning how to properly sing any/every style of music.

Stephanie's lifelong passion for music compelled her to pursue an advanced musical education degree. She earned a BA in Music Arranging from Azusa Pacific University in 2010 and also an MA in Literature from CSU Dominguez Hills. While attending APU she continued to play the piano and performed with the University Choir and Orchestra, the Oratorio Choir, as well as the schools Vocal Jazz Ensemble.

After spending this past year with her new husband at frigid Whiteman AFB in Missouri, "in the middle of nowhere", Stephanie is very happy (to say the least) to be back in sunny Orange County and to be rejoining the OC Music family. Welcome back Stephanie!

(PRWEB) February 20, 2012 -- OC Music Center in Rancho Santa Margarita has started a non-profit charity called the OC Music Foundation. The purpose of the foundation is to financially support school band and orchestra programs in South Orange County; by partnering with local PTA's in providing musical instrument rentals to students enrolled in their school band and orchestra classes.

The goal of the new organization is to provide cash donations to school music programs via their PTA's and PTO’s, thereby ensuring that instrumental music stays alive and well in the public schools of South Orange County. Foundation president Jeffrey A. Gill, owner of two California music stores including OC Music Center in R.S.M., has personally provided almost $10,000.00 to get the non-profit up and running. According to Gill, the foundation hopes to donate at least ten times that amount ($100,000.00) to OC schools over the next decade.

Gill decided to personally take action in the OC after witnessing his once proud high school in the Bay Area, dwindle from two-hundred band members down to only twenty-seven musicians; this because the local elementary music programs were dropped by their district due to the seemingly never-ending state budget cutbacks. Gill wants to make sure that nothing like that happens in South Orange County. And so, although it has not been officially announced yet, the first recipient of musical instrument rental funds from the OC Music Foundation will be Melinda Heights Elementary School in Rancho Santa Margarita who will receive $1,000.00 for the forty band instruments they rented from OC Music in 2011.

Gill wants to encourage parents of children attending all schools in the Saddleback and Capistrano school districts to support their schools by renting musical instruments through this new non-profit foundation.
